Friday 13/03 | 16:00 | Hall B
Roula Patra (Photographer, Visual Artist, Researcher, and member of AKTO’s Academic Team) will deliver a lecture on “Beyond Editing: Photography in the Era of AI Software – Training Lightroom”.
From the first layers of Photoshop to the AI-powered masks of Lightroom Classic, digital image editing is transforming: we no longer ‘correct’ a photograph, we co-create a reality. Lightroom, which began as an organizational and technical enhancement tool, is now evolving into an intelligent interlocutor. It learns our styles, recognizes light, sky, faces, moods; it becomes an extension of our aesthetic judgment. We live in an era where the image is no longer solely the result of human vision, but a product of collaboration between human and machine. From this perspective, the speaker will focus on topics such as:

  • From technique to the curation of meaning
  • Lightroom as a new visual intelligence
  • The power of intention
  • The photographer as an ‘AI curator’

Saturday 14/03 | 12:30 | SEKAF Live Stage
The Director of the BA (Hons) Photography with Video university program, Lambros Papanikolatos (Photographer, Cultural Manager, Curator), will participate in the SEKAF Live Stage with a presentation.
The masterclass titled “The Portfolio as a Communication Tool for the Creator” explores how a portfolio can function as a central tool for presenting and promoting the work of a photographer/creator. Within its framework, key principles of portfolio design, structure, and communication will be discussed, as well as how to utilize it in portfolio reviews, exhibitions, publications, and professional collaborations.
Additionally, there will be a discussion on broader communication strategy issues, with an emphasis on supportive tools and channels that help creators reach a wider audience and leverage emerging professional opportunities.

The IMAGE+TECH Expo & PHOTOVISION 2026 is much more than a trade fair. It is a vibrant space for inspiration, knowledge, and interaction, where static and moving images meet technology and together reveal the future for all content creators.

For three days, visitors will have the opportunity to discover the latest equipment firsthand, see the newest developments in image and sound capture and processing in action, learn about innovative solutions for content production, and draw inspiration from the creativity of leading professionals in the field.

We invite you to the grand celebration of photography, video, cinema, printing, and their applications!
