AKTO was a focal point at the IMAGE+TECH EXPO & PHOTOVISION 2026, showcasing the dynamic and updated nature of its university program BA (Hons) Photography with Video, where photography meets moving image (video) in a unified narrative experience.
Through an exhibition featuring Diploma Projects, Professional Portfolios, and Projects by members of the student community and AKTO Alumni, the public had the opportunity to engage with AKTO’s contemporary educational approach and share moments of inspiration & exchange ideas.
Also featured were the Real Work Projects, which highlight AKTO’s connection with the Job Market and the study experience within the largest Art & Design community.
The participation was complemented by parallel activities such as talks and masterclasses on new technologies, artificial intelligence, and creative communication, presented by members of the program’s academic team:
The Director of the BA (Hons) Photography with Video program, Lambros Papanikolatos (Photographer, Cultural Manager, Curator), was a speaker at the masterclass titled “The Portfolio as a Communication Tool for the Creator,” which took place at the SEKAF Live Stage.
Roula Patra (Photographer, Visual Artist, Researcher, and member of AKTO’s Academic Team) participated in the 1st PHOTO Forum, organized by FOTOGRAFOS magazine. Her talk was titled “Beyond Editing: Photography in the Era of AI Software – Training Lightroom.”
It was a three-day event full of inspiration, knowledge, creativity, and meaningful encounters between professionals & artists at the biggest celebration for photography, video, cinema, printing, and their applications!
