AKTO x INTERSPORT | Real Work Project
AKTO is delighted to participate in the presentation of the new edition titled “History of the Football World Cup with Infographics” and the eponymous exhibition, organized by grd – paper magazine.

As part of the exhibition with infographics on the World Cup (from 1932 to today) and a major tribute to Diego Maradona, AKTO presents “Momentum: A World Cup Legacy”, a Real Work Project implemented during the current academic year, in collaboration with INTERSPORT.
Within the framework of the RWP and starting from different themes from the World Cup legacy, members of the student community of the university program BA (Hons) Graphic Design (3rd year of studies) were invited to design thematic calendars.
Through illustration, typography, infographics, and narrative systems, the projects transform research into experience and the calendar into… a vehicle of cultural memory. The designers transform the twelve months of the calendar into a succession of visual chapters. Through 23 selected thematic calendars, we see 23 completely different approaches to the concept of the World Cup legacy, revealing the power of design as a medium where sport meets history and culture.

The collector’s edition “History of the Football World Cup with Infographics” presents the history of the World Cup with a core design of infographics. 160 pages with poetry, politics, music, personalities, scorers, statements, rare photographic material from all tournaments, as well as statistics for each tournament from 1930 to today.
