Students of the university program BA (Hons) Fashion Design design for attrattivo, and creative education meets the modern Fashion industry!
The Real Work Project attrattivo x AKTO, which had a competitive nature, was implemented as part of the Professional Practice course, in the 3rd year of studies. In connection with the brand’s values “True to You & Heritage Meets Evolution,” the members of the student community worked in real-world conditions, with direct feedback from the Market and attrattivo’s creative team, experiencing a unique educational experience that went beyond the classroom.
The final year students of the BA (Hons) Fashion Design program entered the “heart” of the design process, creating a capsule collection for SS27 – A collection dedicated to life’s small pleasures: Simple Treasures & Weekend Getaways. The research, design, experimentation, thought, and methodology of each designer evolved with absolute professionalism within the RWP framework, exactly as it happens in a modern fashion studio.
The collaboration with attrattivo concluded with a festive event dedicated to Fashion, featuring a DJ set, photos, ice cream & drinks, hosted on 05/26, at AKTO’s Athens Campus. At the event, we had the pleasure of welcoming from attrattivo: Kleia Xylouri (attrattivo owner), Sofia Xylouri (Chief Marketing Officer), Eftychia Xylouri (Design & Product Manager), Eleni Xylouri (Marketing Manager), Evi Kritikou (Head of Design), Venia Pervena (Brand & Graphic Designer), and Eva Koutoukidou (Fashion Designer). The event included the awarding of prizes & gifts to the distinguished participants, Certificates of Participation to all individuals who took part, and continued with a big party.
First prize was awarded to Efthymia Meletsi for her work “Rose Threads.” Second prize was awarded to Ioannis Papadimitriou for his work “SUNLIGHT HERITAGE: Denim with a Twist,” and third prize to Eva Boudri for her work “Between the Echos,” respectively.
In the Real Work Project (RWP), the members of the student community worked under the supervision of their professors Eftychia Tzavara, Elena Ferti, Marianna Bena (Athens Campus) and Dimitra Nanou, Tzortzia Stoimenidou, Katerina Athanasiadou (SKG Campus), with the Head of BA (Hons) Fashion Design, Popi Anastouli.
