AKTO embraces contemporary social issues with respect and sensitivity, contributing to the defense of human rights, diversity, personal expression, and freedom. Recognizing the valuable work carried out by Diotima – Centre for Gender Rights and Equality, AKTO hosted, during this year, a series of educational activities by the Centre in the amphitheater of its Athens campus.
With Xenias Koutentaki (trainer at the Diotima Centre) as the speaker, the activities included seminars, lectures, and interactive workshops on topics such as sexism, gender identity, consent, gender-based violence, the empowerment of women (and women’s groups) and LGBTQI+ individuals, as well as the promotion of healthy interpersonal relationships. The Centre’s activities aim to offer advice and support on how to address these challenges daily, at a practical level, both individually and collectively.
It is worth noting that the Diotima Centre for Women’s Studies and Research (K.G.M.E.) provides a range of comprehensive services aimed at supporting and empowering women or groups of women. All services for beneficiaries are free of charge. Absolute confidentiality of personal data is ensured at all stages, as is respect for each woman’s individual will, choices, and experience.
