The 11th EΣΩ conference was successfully held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at the Trianti Hall of the Megaron Mousikis. Titled MULTIVERSE, this major conference for design and architecture once again managed to gather the most significant representatives of the Greek and International scene. For another year, AKTO was present as an Academic Partner, offering a full Scholarship for studies in the Postgraduate Program Master of Arts in Design for the academic year 2023-2024.
Distinguished architects from London, Copenhagen, Tokyo, Jerusalem, and, of course, Athens and Thessaloniki shared their vision, innovative design practices, concerns, and, naturally, their plans for the revision and redesign of modern metropolises and rural areas on the stage of this year’s EΣΩ conference. Utopian approaches to urban life, sustainable, participatory, and site-specific design approaches, the re-inhabitation of transitional spaces in the modern city, and the reconnection of architecture with the visual arts were just some of the topics addressed by the invited speakers of this year’s event.
A highlight of the evening was the presentation of this year’s Archisearch Lifetime Achievement Awards, which honored the distinguished architects & educators Dimitris Antonakakis, Dimitris Filippidis, and Kyriakos Kyriakidis, as well as the prominent painter, visual artist, and academic Rena Papaspyrou, for their overall contribution.
The event was presented by Danae Makri (Head of Content at Design Ambassador) and Nikolas Barelier (architect – founder of the clothing brand SCALA and permanent collaborator of Design Ambassador).
The EΣΩ conference is organized by ARCHISEARCH.gr magazine and produced by Design Ambassador.
